H&Z® Inositol is a substance widely found in foods and is similar in structure to glucose. Pure inositol is a stable white crystal that is soluble in water and sweet, resistant to acids, bases and heat. In animal cells, it occurs mainly in the form of phospholipids, sometimes called inositol phospholipids. In cereals, hexaphosphate (phytic acid) is often combined with phosphoric acid to form phytic acid, which can combine with calcium, iron and zinc to form insoluble compounds, interfering with the human body's absorption of these compounds. Inositol is widely distributed in animals and plants and is a growth factor of animals and microorganisms. Mainly used as a nutritional supplement. Can treat liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, fatty liver, blood high cholesterol disease.
