Chemical enterprises producing fine chemicals are generally known as fine chemical industry, or fine chemical industry for short.

fine chemical industry are very broad, and its main characteristics are:
(1) It has specific functional and practical characteristics.
(2) High technology intensity.
(3) Small batch, multi variety.
(4) The production process is complex, the equipment investment is large, and the capital demand is large.
(5) It has the characteristics of strong practicability and commodity, fierce market competition, high sales profit and high added value.
(6) The product cycle is short, the renewal is fast, and the intermittent production process is mostly adopted.
